Takornartat/Foreigners is part of archive project that is about greenlandic history.

From Nunatta Katersugaasivia (National Museum of Greenland) those incredible portraits were found. John Møller learned how to photograph in Copenhagen and started taking portraits in 1889 and worked until his death in 1935.

These photographs show unique perspective, which is usually other way around, that is from the locals view of point.

John used large format with glass negatives, I digitalized his work and picked out the best portraits.
